Metals and minerals moving out of a producing jurisdiction attract scrutiny from customs, correspondent banks, refiners and regulators — correctly. Select any item below to see how we build for it.

All counterparties, beneficial owners, agents, vessels, carriers and payment recipients are screened against U.S. OFAC lists and applicable international measures before a transaction opens and again before settlement. We do not transact in embargoed jurisdictions.

Written identification, beneficial-ownership, PEP and adverse-media procedures, source-of-goods and source-of-funds narratives, recordkeeping, and escalation of red flags to counsel. Payments follow the verified account path — no third-party or nested settlement.

Origination is assessed against the OECD five-step framework and Annex II risks — conflict financing, serious human-rights abuse, illegal armed groups, illicit taxation and bribery — across every sector we work in, not only conflict minerals in the traditional sense.

Rough diamond consignments are screened and documented under the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme in addition to EKNOX's own origin verification checklist. Battery-mineral consignments are assessed against downstream buyers' responsible-sourcing standards.

Metal, ore, concentrate or gemstone parcels with no verifiable licence or export permit; safekeeping receipts or "in-ground" reserves offered as product; bank guarantees or prime bank instruments presented as proof of funds; advance "clearance fees" payable to an individual; sellers who won't permit independent verification; and any structure that obscures beneficial ownership.

It depends on the mandate. EKNOX acts as principal, purchaser's or seller's agent, or transaction advisor — the capacity is fixed in writing before any other term is discussed, because it determines who owes what to whom. See the Mandate / Engagement Letter in the document library for the exact language.

Yes, but the compliance file comes before price. We'll tell you plainly what's missing and what it would take to close the gap. A licence or permit that can't be verified with the issuing authority ends the file — we won't structure around a document we can't confirm.

Yes, provided the cooperative is formally registered and licensed, and the aggregation route can be documented back to the licence area. This is exactly the kind of origination that gets the OECD Annex II assessment applied in full, not as a formality.

Every purchase and sale agreement fixes a tolerance and an umpire mechanism in advance. If the buyer's and seller's laboratories disagree beyond that tolerance, an agreed third laboratory or grading house settles it, and its result is final and binding — the mechanism is written down before it's ever needed.

The chain of custody and documentation standard don't change with size — a single cooperative's lot gets the same compliance file as a ministry's full reserve. What changes is which stages take longer relative to the transaction's overall value.

A broker introduces parties. EKNOX structures the transaction, builds and verifies the compliance file, coordinates independent assay or grading, arranges escrow, and stays engaged through export, processing and settlement — the same team that reads the mining licence reads the instrument offered to finance it.
