Chain of custody

Seven transfers. At every one, someone holds title and someone holds paper.

This is the sequence EKNOX runs on every consignment, whatever the commodity. Select a stage to see who holds title, which instruments exist, and what control sits on the transaction at that point.

      Why the sequence matters

Every stage answers one question a bank, refiner or regulator will eventually ask.

The chain of custody is not paperwork for its own sake. Each stage exists because skipping it creates a specific, foreseeable problem later.

      01–02

Can this seller actually sell this?

Mandate and compliance file establish capacity, licence and beneficial ownership before a single dollar or a single tonne is discussed.

      03

Is the consignment what it's claimed to be?

Independent, witnessed verification — not a seller's certificate — establishes weight, fineness or grade as a matter of record.

      04

Who is protected if either side fails to perform?

Escrow and the purchase agreement fix price, tolerance and default remedies before funds or goods move.

      05

Did this leave the country lawfully?

Export clearance, royalty payment and insured, sealed movement create a visible, checkable trail.

      06

What does the receiving facility actually confirm?

Final assay, assay or grading at the refinery, smelter or grading house — not the origin figure — governs settlement.

      07

Did the money go to the right place?

Wire path verification and a closing certificate close the file with a record any counterparty can later review.
